A great percentage of people fear Getting Old .It’s not the related health issues or the actual added number of years to one’s age that is feared but the Wrinkles and flab and sags that come with the package (of growing old) that are most dreaded.

It was rumored that Cleopatra bathed in milk to make her skin soft and supple and preserve her beauty and youthful look. Ponce de Leon’s search for the mythical “Fountain of Youth” led him to discover Florida, but the fountain itself was never found.

Since time immemorial, the fear of looking old and the search for that magical “fountain of youth” have been ingrained in us, but there are many Anti Aging Solutions closer to hand than you might think!.

The “fountain of youth” may well be antioxidants. What are these? Antioxidants are substances that can prevent or counteract the harmful effects of oxidation.

Oxidation is good for the body but at some point free radicals are produced as byproducts in the oxidation process. These free radicals are harmful to the body as they damage the cells of the body. To counteract the effect of the harmful free radicals, the body has developed to a degree antioxidants.

These antioxidants are chemicals that aids in slowing down the process of oxidation. An example is, envision a peeled apple. The exposed flesh of the apple is sure to turn brown after a few minutes of exposure to air. That’s oxidation and the effect of free radicals.

If the same apple were put in a bowl of orange juice, the oxidation would still occur but the free radicals will be eliminated to some degree thus your apple will be completely fresh and not brownish. In this instance, the orange juice is the antioxidant.

A lot has been said about the wonderful effect of antioxidants to the body’s cell. Antioxidants are enzymes, vitamins and minerals in our body. They can also be found in other sources such as fruits, vegetables.

Antioxidants are believed to prevent cancer, stroke, heart diseases, arthritis, diabetes and more. Though the claims have yet to be proven scientifically, there is certainly no harm in eating natural food.

However, there are studies that antioxidants actually aid in slowing down the aging process in terms of preventing excessive cell damage. The skin is the biggest organ of the body. It is also the organ that is constantly exposed to the free radicals in the air, excessive sunlight included. If your body has the necessary amount of antioxidants, then cell damaged will certainly be minimized.

This is directly connected to having a younger looking you – better skin, better eyesight, and a general feeling of good health.

There are many types of antioxidant and red wine is found to contain that one antioxidant that defies aging! The down part is you have to drink around 200 glasses of red wine a day to get the recommended amount of red-wine-antioxidant.

Impossible. The good news is there is actually an antioxidant supplement that you can take to give aid in slowing down the aging process and could increase your lifespan by 15-20 years!, please however consult your doctor before taking any supplements.

Exercise is also a great way to slow down the aging process, regular Anti Aging Exercise keeps the blood from thickening & avoids the other issues associated with slowing down as we get older!.
